From tiny seeds grow enormous trees, whose tops are so high they seem to brush the clouds in the sky. How miraculous! There is much we can learn from a tree. Patience and stillness are two priceless lessons trees offer to us.
A tree grows so slowly, who would think to sit and watch it grow? It would seem like nothing is ever going to happen. And yet, we see before us tall and mighty trees.
Our own growth is much like the growth of a tree—most of the time barely noticeable, if at all. We need to be patient with our own growth even when we cannot see it. Trees, with their stillness, strength, majesty and humility, speak their lessons silently.
If we listen and learn, one day we too may be mighty titans, strong in Spirit, majestic of heart. |
