There are times when the elements of our natural surroundings seem alive. We may even feel they have the attributes of living beings. The wind may seem friendly or fierce, and the earth may feel like a mother who gives birth to, and nurtures, all living beings.
We might even imagine mother earth playfully turning ‘round so that all beings might enjoy the warm face of the sun.
There is a “presence” in all of nature that becomes more real as we gain sensitivity to the living intelligence that exists in all of creation. |
