Living at around 2000 feet elevation in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains has given me the opportunity to learn to appreciate time inside a cloud. What I have found is that a cool, rainy, overcast day can be a welcome respite from an overactive world, instead of a dismal and dreary ordeal.
I have come to welcome the balm of quiet and the slower pace of the day. It provides a natural time and atmosphere for inner contemplation and a chance for the mind to rejuvenate. Justification perhaps, for living with one’s head in the clouds!
