The debate that goes on in our mind, regarding most any issue we are dealing with, is like watching a tennis match between two champions. You just never know who is going to win! For some reason we trust that our thought process will find the answer, even as we watch it shifting and waffling back and forth.
Have you ever watched a debate and been thoroughly convinced by the argument on one side, and then completely reverse your opinion after the rebuttal?
Our internal debates are much the same. The answers that carry with them the authority of truth, emerge in silence, not in the midst of mental arguments. Silence does not judge and has no self interest. A true friend!
