Whatever we bring with us into a new day, nature is always blissfully in the present moment, unconcerned with our cares or the state of the world. Nature holds open the door to peace and invites us to come in and rest for a while.
This is not escape. It is amazing how restorative a short retreat to a wooded path can be. A mountain trail, a sunlit meadow, or empty stretch of seashore, can be more healing and rejuvenating than many other conventional means of coping with life's challenges.
Nature draws us into the center of our being. It is from that place that our joy flows.
