Thank God for the power of beauty! Who, with all their problems and cares can gaze into the majesty of Yosemite Valley and not be moved? Granted we cannot walk out our door each day and be greeted with beauty of that magnitude, yet awesome beauty is never far away. Even a single flower can transport us to the stillness and peace that arise spontaneously when the delicate beauty and fragrance of a flower momentarily carry us away.
Spend a moment with a flower, really looking at the shape and color of the petals, all of the intricate and delicate parts, the exquisite design! Be aware of its being, just present and still, asking nothing and giving so much. Then, notice what has changed.
