Our senses can be the messengers of the great and mysterious beauty of the universe. They may lift us to heights of wonder and awe, opening a portal to the silent truth.
They may also carry us forcefully away into the quagmire of delusion. If we are attached to the objects of desire our senses perceive, they drag us mercilessly in pursuit of a fleeting mirage.
The beauty of nature often moves us beyond our attachments. We are moved by a glorious sunset but have no desire to "own" it. We are simply transported to a state of being that is always inside waiting for us to visit.
This is a place where we touch the mystery of creation and sense the Source of all that is and all that we are.
