Could we count the poems that have been inspired by the shining pearl of the moon? The moon says so much in its luminous silence. In fact, all eloquence pours forth from silence. All words, all sounds, all inspiration have their source in quiet stillness.
As we chant or meditate upon Om, it proceeds from, and fades back into, silence. Stillness may sound static, stagnant and boring but it is actually the dynamic reservoir of all creative energy and inspiration! It is interesting that in all of the world’s cosmologies the beginning of creation was sound, or vibration. Now, we know from the discoveries of physics that vibration is really perhaps all there really is. Solid matter is an illusion of the senses. All creation is a cosmic symphony!
