It is a rare human being who sees the truth clearly and does not resist. We all glimpse the truth and accept it in some measure. But how many see the transitory nature of this life and are able to flow with its changes without resistance? We know that life comes and goes, and that gradually or suddenly, we will eventually have to give up everything.
And yet, we accumulate and cling to worldly possessions and relationships with the tenacity of a pit bull! How much easier and richer life would be if we could welcome what comes to us and let it go with our blessing when it departs. But this jewel of wisdom is "the pearl of great price!"
