The atmosphere in nature at dawn is quiet and deeply healing. Sunlight gradually dissipates the darkness, and gently the world awakens. The inner experience we have when we are moved by a sunrise is one we can have within our own being.
When our mind is calm and focused we find the same joy and sense of well-being opens up from somewhere inside. Peace, like the first rays of sunlight over the horizon, shines into our being as we approach stillness.
This happens when we are fully here—now, and this is where meditation leads us. The sun rises every day, we need only be present to experience it.
