There are times when the demands of life are so overwhelming it seems we don't even have time to take a breath. However, if we have learned how to access stillness deep within, even for the duration of one breath, we know the life-giving gift it offers.
The struggle of life can be so difficult that we feel the need for peace as desperately as we would need a breath of oxygen if we were drowning. There are mental disciplines such as meditation, that can teach us how to focus our minds, so that we are gradually able to shift our consciousness into the present moment.
There is a healing space between past and future. Even a few seconds in this place can bring strength to carry us through.
