No matter how much we accomplish or accumulate in our life there always remains the desire for more. When we have little, this is harder to see or believe. It seems that if we just had a little more of what we want we would be happy. The short-lived euphoria from pleasures and possessions should be a hint! But desire itself hi-jacks our reasoning and we are very soon convinced beyond a doubt that the next desire will bring fulfillment.
Whether we have ten dollars in the bank or own a chain of hotels, the desire for more prevails. There is no end to this fruitless quest until we come to desire inner freedom above all worldly goals. In this freedom we lack for nothing.
