Our hearts are waiting to open like rosebuds in the garden. When the light of truth and compassion shines on our hearts they begin to open and unfold. When we are afraid and judgmental the doors and windows slam shut. Where do we find the light that will bring the blossoming of our hearts? We meditate upon, pray for, and practice love and compassion.
We may expect the light to come from somewhere outside of ourselves, but strangely it will come from within our own being. It comes when we are willing to look at truth, when false promises of selfish desires no longer fool us. Then we begin to see that our separateness is really self-deception. In this new light of truth, the petals of our heart begin to open.
