Is it any wonder that the sun has been such a central element in cosmologies, mythologies and even religions throughout history? No sun, no life. Every day the sun warms our planet and regulates the temperature within the small spectrum within which life as we know it can exist. It provides light so plants can grow. Without sunlight there would be no plants, no animals, no human beings.
If we look deeply into a pine grove, lit up by the morning sun, it becomes more than a nice, but quite ordinary, experience. It can become a moment of magic and miracles. Sometimes it is enough to open our eyes to the wonders around us and let them remain a mystery, just communing silently with their essence. As we do this, we also commune silently with the Source of that essence within our own being.
