Contemplating infinity can awaken us to the finite abilities of the mind. We simply cannot grasp infinitude with thought. Logic, reason and thinking all function very well in the realm of duality; light and dark, distance and size. But how does the mind deal with the idea of endless space without borders? We begin to imagine “forever” and pretty quickly the circuitry of the mind shorts out.
The Big Bang was fourteen billion years ago, but what was before that, and when will it end? Imagination can take us to the shores of knowing as a car can take us to the edge of the sea. But the “ocean of knowing” is a higher consciousness that we must plunge into, leaving behind the limitation of thought. This is where we will “...know what is not known and see the face of Love”
