There was a period of over twenty years when I never saw the sun rise unless it was before I had yet gone to bed. And then it was usually while driving home, bleary-eyed, from a musical engagement of dubious reward!
Some time ago my life-style changed and I started to go to bed and rise earlier. This eventually led to rising before dawn on most mornings. At a certain point I began to venture outside in the morning to watch the new day begin. Something magical had been waiting for me that I will not diminish by another foolish attempt to describe.
