It is not hard to see creation as a cosmic dance.
Everything is moving, spinning, dancing, revolving,
every part in relation to every other part in the whole.
Sufi dervishes whirl and spin, listening to the music and
focusing on God in order to let go of the ego and
experience the ecstatic bliss of Divine love. Their bodies
spinning in repetitive circles is considered symbolic of the
planets orbiting the sun.
Moons spin and revolve around
planets, planets around suns, suns around galaxies,
galaxies around the universe, electrons around the nucleus
of every atom. In the macrocosm and the microcosm all is
dancing! Mystery, wonder and awe open us up to the secrets
beyond the mind.
