Sometimes it seems we very skillfully stay one step ahead of our own awakening! We sincerely want to know and live a truer life, and still we watch year by year as the same old dance continues! For each of us there comes a time when we can finally let go of an old habit, take a new direction or heal a wound from long ago. This nearly always involves turning and facing some truth we have been avoiding.
When we find the courage to turn and face whatever it is we are running from, darkness retreats like the night before the dawn.
