At times we may look within and without and ask, “What can I truly call ‘me’ or ‘mine’?” As we examine the things we identify as “me” and the things we think we "possess", we realize there is nothing we can call “I” and nothing we really possess.
We do not know where we came from or how we got here. We do know that we will not be here for long and yet beyond all reason we somehow believe that we can claim some part of our experience of life as our identity or possession.
In the light of honest observation we find that the closest thing to something we can call "me" or "mine" is the love in our heart and the longing in our soul. And yet, even these have been given to us. We no more own them than we do the stars.
