Our mind can be so permeated and colored by conditioning, rigid beliefs, false or partial information, desires and fears that we see the world only "through a glass darkly." Only when the mind is still like the mirrored surface of a motionless lake, do we see clearly. We mistake the restless thoughts on the stormy sea of our mind for consciousness.
But consciousness is the pure light that reflects on the mirror-surface of the still ocean of the mind. In stillness it reveals the truth, the world, and ourselves in perfect clarity. Then we see clearly that each of us is a being of light. Each one, a spark from a radiant ocean of consciousness.
