We call the sun by many names in many languages and yet we all know it is the same light that we are referring to. And so it is with the Light of truth. As the Rig Veda says, “Truth is One, sages call it by various names.”
The mind and its thoughts are often compared to a pool of water and the waves on the surface. When the pool is perfectly still it clearly reflects the light shining upon it. Similarly, when the mind is perfectly still it clearly reflects a Light that was obscured by the ripples and waves of thoughts in our mind.
