We are drawn to and strangely uplifted by light in all it's radiant and sparkling forms, whether the sparkle of diamonds and gold or the shimmering radiance of sunlight on freshly fallen snow. Something inside us knows that we are in some way connected to the brilliance of light. We may even sense that we have come from the same place and will someday be returning.
Jesus said, "Let thine eye be single and thy whole body shall be filled with light." Could this be the effulgent light of bliss that yogis experience when the "mind's eye" is single in the one-pointed concentration of meditation? Is it any wonder we are so taken by light?
