Our most exalted feelings and experiences can never be fully expressed, nor the darkest and most difficult passages of life. Trying to put our deepest grief, our fullest joy, or our highest spiritual moments into some form of expression is like trying to pour the ocean into a paper cup. We can hold a tiny sample of the sea in a cup but how many of the ocean's secrets can it tell?
Still, we must express. To loved ones, to family and friends, to the earth, the sky and the universe—we must give form to the truth we find and share it. Not to glorify ourselves as "creators" but to help each other on this journey of life.
