When the object of our desires is taken away the mind can continue on and on like a broken record, replaying the loss, the mistakes we made that caused the loss, asking why, just droning on in agony. Some of this is a natural part of grieving, sometimes it is an endless cycle. It may seem that we are forever lost in a sea of grief with no stars to guide and no wind for our sails.
Grace becomes our stars and wind. Grace is the unearned gift, the solution found in the face of the unsolvable difficulty.
