Sunrise, sunset, the sky, the mountains, the ocean, are so beautiful they can appear surreal or dreamlike. We may see the sky as an infinite blue ocean, clouds as flower petals, the ocean as a shimmering sky with moonlight rippling on the surface. Ordinary words cannot convey the essence of this beauty, so poetry, music and great paintings are born to express the inexpressible. Eknath Easwaran said, "What lovers of beauty seek in paintings, sculpture, dance, and music is a reflection of God’s absolute beauty."
These gifts of nature's beauty are blossoms of the Divine given freely to all. They are ours to gather and take into our hearts.
