When we are fully present in the tiny space between mental events, we see that time is contained within the infinite and eternal now. The now is the field of unmoved and unmoving, still consciousness. This is the well-spring of Joy that rises up from within when we are moved beyond our thoughts by music, beauty, art, love or deep meditation.
Henry David Thoreau said, “Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains.”
Therein the timeless dimension is waiting patiently between our thoughts.
