A misty morning slows the world down and invites us to down-shift to a lower gear. Just moving into a slower pace opens up room in our consciousness for inspiration. Joy, intuitive inner guidance, being present in the moment, all become available to us as we slow down.
We do not experience these things when our mind is racing and multitasking. The unbridled mind at full-speed is a storm of activity. If you have known the peace of a quiet morning after a great storm, you know an important part of the purpose and one of the wonderful effects of meditation.
