MARCH 16th

When the road behind becomes longer
than the road you can see ahead in life

there is a profound shift in perspective
A frightening but wonderful opportunity
to open up to Truth

        In our youth there is a sense of immortality that changes over time. Middle age and old age seem so far in the distance they appear more a dream than reality. In youth, death seems incomprehensible. Only when we have experienced the passing of someone close to us does it become real.

Even in later years, when the sand in the hour glass of life has been moving along, it is still nearly impossible for us to comprehend our own demise. Who can imagine the loss of body and mind? However, this confrontation with a Truth we do not yet understand is a great opportunity for a new level of freedom and peace.

It may be frightening to face our eventual departure from this world, but there is precious liberation and peace in embracing this truth.
