Animals, birds and all wildlife are all so utterly in the present moment, we are drawn into "now" just by observing them. They are so completely spontaneous and unselfconscious we can feel a renewal of the child we left behind so long ago. This comes as a remembering of the sheer joy of being.
There was a time for each of us before we were taught that we needed to "be somebody." A time when there was not yet a solidified sense of self, when we had not yet begun to judge and analyze who we thought we were. If we felt like it, we just sang and danced with joyful abandon, like a bird in the wood! Here is the freedom we are called to reclaim by a whisper deep within us. |
